The Competition Commission (COMCO) has launched an investigation into BMW to determine whether the company may have violated antitrust law. The reason for this is the accusation of a garage that has sold and serviced BMW vehicles for decades. The garage claims that BMW induced it to invest millions and then unexpectedly terminated the cooperation without an appropriate transitional solution. The garage is now dependent on the business relationship with BMW in order to amortize the investments made. COMCO will examine whether BMW has relative market power and may have acted abusively. The presumption of innocence applies to BMW.
